I just decided to blog and to my great delight I discovered Paul, Jon and Lucy had all blogged too...how nice. Amazing what different things people decide to blog about.
Well the old lectures have started up again. Mixed feelings to say the least. Theology of Paul (Paul the Apostle..not Paul who's just blogged) looks well good and the lecturer seems a nice chap. Made me laugh fromt he start but declaring that he hadnt stapled our lecture notes together incase we wanted to use a paper clip...WHAT? So yeah looking foward to that one, actually it's the first module that I've thought I could happily answer any of the set essays for. Texts and topics in Old Testament seems it's usually self. Basically it's the lecturer talking in synonyms which means the lecture could actually half as long as it is if he cut it out. Some nightmare seminar presentations to do for that but am doing mine with Hannah, Paul (this time the Paul who has just blogged) and Cat..so thatll be good fun to plan anyway.
Finally Literature and Religion....hmmmm, basically by mid 2hour lecture I was considering a quick exit from the window. (it was on the ground floor...after all I was only trying to escape the lecture) The lecture just left me feeling a bit stupid and inept, and also I failed completely an English Lit module at A-level that I should have done well in, so it knocked my confidence a bit. However, after a day thinking about it I have decided not to give in, but to work for it. I'm going to buy and read an introduction to Greek myth as she seems fond of quoting them and I'm going toreally try hard and do it rather than just give in and swap to another module.
In other news...I went for a hot chocolate today with my CU niece. We sat on the grass by the lake and chatted and then had a hot chocolate in the Lakeside cafe. She's really lovely and we seem to have some stuff in common and it's really easy to chat together. So that's very exciting.
Had first handball session today. Most entertainingly on the way there I managed to get the toggles on my three quater length trousers tangled together. The elastic has gone a bit and the just knotted together. However, I didnt want to stop and look like a plank untying them, and so instead kind of half waddled round to the sports centre trying to maintain a cool exterior. Once there it was good fun though I feel I might ache tomorrow.
Anyways I'm meant to be looking for books for my course so best scoot. Good night and God bless x x
